Story behind the item
Wedding gift in connection with the wedding on December 8, 1877, in Gothenburg Cathedral, between Baron Johan Volmer Wrangel von Brehmer,
owner of Hyby estate, Scania, and Ingeborg, born Ehrensvärd. The gift was from her parents, Count Albert Ehrensvärd, governor of Gothenburg and Bohus County and owner of Tosterup Castle, Scania, and his wife Hedvig, born Vogt.
It was then inherited by the Wrangel couple’s daughter Augusta, married to Erik von Essen, and thereby inherited by the current owner.
