Collection – Blue Fluted Plain

The Blue Fluted Plain collection serves as the foundation of Royal Copenhagen’s 250-year legacy. Officially known as “Pattern No. 1,” this design debuted in 1775 as the factory’s very first pattern. It remains a global icon of hand-painted porcelain and Danish artistry. Every piece features the signature cobalt blue floral motifs applied with meticulous brushstrokes. This original design lacks the perforated lace borders of later variations, highlighting its understated elegance and timeless utility. Because artisans hand-paint every item, no two pieces in the collection are exactly alike.

Brand – Royal Copenhagen

Founded in 1775, Royal Copenhagen blends centuries-old hand-painting expertise with contemporary aesthetics. The manufacturer remains a global leader in high-end tableware, defined by a history of artistic collaboration and technical precision. Its most iconic series, the Blue Fluted line, features a delicate floral motif that artisans still paint entirely by hand. For those seeking the pinnacle of luxury, the Flora Danica collection showcases life-sized botanical illustrations based on historic Danish encyclopedias. This commitment to avant-garde aesthetics allows the brand to produce collections that function as both practical household items and sculptural art pieces.3463
